To make easy travelling through e-tickets. The Ministry of Railways has decided to accept two more proofs in the present evidence of Identity. Before two, there were five evidence were accepted by the railway. Detail of five proofs of identity is as under:-
- Voter Identity Card
- Passport
- Permanent Account Number
- Driving License
- Photo Identity Card issued by Central/State Government.
List of two more proofs of Identity applicable w.e.f. 15-06-2010
- Student Identity Card with Photograph issued by recognised School/College for their students. (No other concession will be provided on the basis of Student except concession for Senior Citizens)
- Nationalised Bank Passbook with Photograph .
