Income Tax Department has started Call Centre service through Toll Free Number 1800 180 1961 or Short Code 1961from any Landline/Mobile Number.

inaugurated and dedicated the “AAYAKAR SAMPARK KENDRA" (Call Centre Services) to the Nation at Jangipur, Murshidabad, West Bengal on 14th April  2012.

                 The Call centre can be accessed through a Toll Free Number 1800 180 1961 or Short Code 1961 from any Landline /Mobile Number. The National Call Centre is  located at Delhi and regional centres at Jangipur,  Jammu, Shillong and Kochi. Apart from Hindi and  English the caller has an option to get information in  the local language too. 

Call Center Toll Free Number to Resolve queries Related to Income Tax Refund

 CPC/Income Tax Department has provided a call center with 20 agents for  customer service and support to resolve the following  problems of taxpayers queries related to the following matters :-

• 1. Status of receipt of ITR-V at CPC
• 2. Processing status of e-filed returns
• 3. Refund issues
• 4. Any other information related to processing of returns at CPC

This service is available on working days and call are answered in English,Hindi,Kannada on the following telephone numbers ;

Based on taxpayers feedback and increasing demand for customer services, the working hours of CPC Call center are being extended to 9AM-8PM on all working days.
