Central Board of Direct Taxes has issued notification number S.O.2819(E) dated the 22th November, 2010 regarding Tax Return Preparation Scheme 2006, published vide notification number S.O.2039(E) dated the 28the November, 2006.
Before knowing more regarding TRPS, a person should know what is TRPS. India Government had launched a TRPS (Tax Return Preparation Scheme) vide which TRP (Tax Return Prepares) are trained who are unemployed and partially employed to assist small and medium taxpayers in preparing their income tax returns. In the first year 5000 TRP's at 100 centers in around 80 cities across the country were trained. Out of 5000, 3737 TRP's were certified by the Income Tax Department to act as Tax Return Preparers who guides many people in filing the Income Tax Return. Now Government has decided to increase the area of TRP's in TDS returns and Service Tax returns also.
