e-TDS :- Sub-users at tdscpc.gov.in

Friends,   There are lot of new features at tdscpc.gov.in for deductors and having lot of problems with the new website.   A new facility has also been launched by the site that sub-users can be created on it.  Details for the same are given below :- 

How to create a sub-user?

 Steps to create or add a sub-user are as below:

1. Login to TRACES as Admin User and click on 'Profile'
2. Under 'User Management', click on 'Add Sub-User'
3. Enter PAN and Date of Birth of sub-user and proceed
4. Name of sub-user will be auto-populated from PAN database based on PAN and Date of Birth of sub-user
5. Enter User Id and password for sub-user and click on 'Add'
6. Sub-user will be created for the TAN

Who can create sub-users for a TAN?

Admin User can create sub-users for a TAN using 'Add Sub-User' option under 'User Management' in 'Profile'.

Is it possible for an Admin User or sub-user to create an account with User Id as TAN or PAN?

No. User Id cannot be same as TAN or PAN and it cannot be same as TAN or PAN structure.

Can a Sub user add another Sub user to TRACES?

No. Only Admin User can add sub-users for a TAN.

How can I edit details of sub-users?

Admin User can edit sub-user details by selecting a sub-user row and clicking on 'Update from PAN Master' under 'User Management' in 'Profile'. Name and Date of Birth of sub-user will be updated from PAN database based on PAN of sub-user.

Can Admin User update PAN, Name or Date of Birth of sub-user?

No. PAN of sub-user cannot be changed. Name and Date of Birth can be updated from PAN database by selecting a sub-user row and clicking on 'Update from PAN Master' under 'User Management' in 'Profile'. PAN, Name and Date of Birth of sub-user cannot be manually changed by Admin User.
