200 Mobile SMS from one Sim

It is good news for Mobile users that TRAI has extended the limit of 100 SMS per day per SIM to 200 SMS per day per SIM.  Earlier  a limit of SMS was fixed only 100 SMS per day per SIM, now it has been increased by TRAI  to 200 SMS per day per SIM.

TRAI extends the 100 SMS per day per SIM limit to 200 SMS per day per SIM. 

New Delhi, 1st November, 2011:  All the provisions of  “The Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2010” issued have come into force from 27th  September 2011.  

2. The Telecom Commercial Communications Customer  Preference Regulations  provide a restriction that no Access Provider shall permit sending of more than one hundred SMS per day per SIM except telemarketer or transactional message sending entity. The Authority has received representations from some of the service providers and consumers to increase the limit of 100 SMS per day per SIM. The Authority has considered these representations and decided to increase the limit of one hundred SMS per day per SIM to two hundred SMS per day per SIM. 

3. The  “The Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2010” and Direction are available on TRAI website http://www.trai.gov.in.

• The PYARI JODI plan will be provided as new mobile connections only.
• The above plans are to be offered through BSNL CSC only.
• The SIM & Activation is free for normal SIM. In case of specific request from customer for USIM, Rs.59 will be charged for USIM.
• The customer will be asked to produce last paid bill of the Landline number also to verify the genuineness of the customer.
• No concession in call charges from Landline number to the “Jodi” mobile number will be allowed.
• The MRP of FRC is inclusive of Service Tax @10.30%. Circles can suitably adjust the MRP in the price band upto Rs.3 (+/-) of above price considering the local market condition.
• In case of Assam, J&K and North East LSAs validity of plan is subject to the guidelines/instructions issued by Govt. of India/Regulatory Authority from time to time.

2. The “PYARI JODI” Plan to be offered as a promotional offer during the festival period for 90 days with effect from 05.11.2010.
